Our Story
When I quit my job in the spring of 2019, I wanted to create “A Bourbon for Everyone™.” The idea was to craft a Bourbon which is special enough that a connoisseur will love it neat or on-the-rocks. Also, though, I wanted to be sure that those newer to Bourbon — or those who just wanted to have a great whiskey cocktail — would love my product, too.
I hand-blended 13 Year-Old, 6 Year-Old, and 5 Year-Old Bourbons on my couch, in my condominium apartment. The process took me several weeks. The results are wonderful!
How We Got Our Awards
In the spring of 2021, I sent off a bottle of I Bourbon to the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards. 6 months later, I received a call from its Founder and CEO, congratulating me. He said, “We were so excited to see The Little Guy can beat The Big Guys! Congratulations to you, and to I Bourbon!”
Sure, the medals and awards are nice, but what’s really special to me are the reviews from Whisky Advocate and Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible, 2024. To receive 90 and 91 Points, respectively, from these true Bibles of whiskey tasting meant I have something very special.
